Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox was born in Aberdeen Scotland on December 25 1954. Dorothy Farquharson is her mother and Thomas Allison Lennox, father. Lennox took classes in piano, flute as well as harpsichord at Royal Academy of Music London for three years in the 70s. Lennox was paid a stipend and did part-time jobs to help supplement her income. Lennox, while studying in the Royal Academy of Music in London, was not happy in her performance when in comparison to her peers. Then she began to consider different options. Lennox began her career as a flute-player within the band Dragons Playground. However, she left before the band was requested to take part in I.T.V.'s talent contest New Faces. Her main role was as the lead singer in The Tourists from 1977 until in 1980. That was also where she got to know Dave Stewart with whom she will form Pop duo Eurythmics. Following that Lennox began working for her debut album as a solo artist Diva which was released in 1992. It was a massive success both commercially and critically. Nostalgia Lennoxs six-album solo that was released in October 2014 was Nostalgia Lennox. The C.D. Lennox chose her favourite blues and soul tunes. Additionally, in May 2019, Lennox published Lepidoptera an album of four improvised piano tracks. The E.P. This album is a companion piece to her Now I let you go... art installation which was on display at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. It's also her debut independently-released album. Medusa is her studio album from 1995. The album features covers of songs like No MoreI I Love Yous and A Whiter Shade of Pale. Six solo studio albums and one compilation album to her credit.
