Annette O'Toole was raised in Houston Texas in the dance studio of her mother. Annette O'Toole made her TV debut in the age of two, as a kid in the Don Mahoney Kiddie Trooper show. She was 13 when, and had ten years worth of singing and dancing lessons ahead of her, she and her mother traveled back to L.A. for a year in order to test whether she was able to make it in the show business. In just two short months she landed her first paying job singing with Danny Kaye on Danny Kaye Show with Danny Kaye. "I've used my training in dancing and singing to a great extent," she says. The discipline that you gain from this is great for actors." O'Toole's debut role in My Three Sons was followed by roles in Gunsmoke as well as The Mod Squad. She also appeared in Hawaii Five-O, The Mod Squad, The Partridge Family. The most important thing that O'Toole loves, in spite of her successes in film and on television was theatre. Following her time on Smallville she decided to pursue a career in theatre which she'd been doing in the past ten years. Her first audition for a show in New York led her to get the role of The Sea Gull. She's been in numerous off-Broadway productions, among them Adam Rapp's Kindness Tracy Letts' Man from Nebraska as well as Tennessee Williams' A Lovely Sunday for Creve Couer.
