Luciana Paluzzi

The actress Luciana Paluzzi was one of numerous sexy Italian brunettes destined to international stardom in the wake of Gina Lollobrigida. After working on both coasts of the Atlantic throughout the 1950s for movies like Three Coins in the Fountain, (1954), and Sea Fury, (1958) Luciana Paluzzi had a shot at American TV fame in the role of Simone Genet in the spy weekly Five Fingers in 1959. She met with Bond producers in 1965 to discuss possibilities of being cast as the lead girl Domino Derval in Thunderball. Terence Young gave her Fiona Volpe as one of a few women who can resist Mr. Bond's attraction. Fiona Volpe, who is slain in the midst of a dance floor by Bond's own friends, probably to make her pay for her behavior. James then places her dead body on the table, and then asks "Do you mind that my friend stays at in the house?" That's not the fault of Fiona. Luciana Paluzzi's career as a European star was extended by this blockbuster at the box office. The actress was part of films including Captain Nemo and the Underwater City, The Six Million Dollar Man, The Klansman and The Greek Tycoon. Luciana Luciana Luciana
